Custom Microfiber Cloth Edge Types: Straight, Pinked, Scalloped, Rounded and Custom Shapes

A specification guide for brands and wholesalers comparing custom cloth dimensions, silhouettes and edge profiles before an OEM/ODM order.

The short answer: a custom microfiber cloth brief should define three separate items: finished dimensions, the overall cloth shape, and the edge profile. Straight, pinked zigzag and scalloped describe the visible edge. Rounded corners and custom shapes change the cloth silhouette. Every option must be reviewed with the selected material, size, logo and packaging before production.

This guide helps jewelry brands, eyewear companies, wholesalers and private-label buyers compare edge and shape directions for silver and jewelry polishing cloths and eyeglass and screen cleaning cloths. It does not assign one fixed MOQ or lead time to every edge: both are confirmed after Qula Craft reviews the requested specification.

SPECIFICATION BASICS

Separate size, shape and edge in the RFQ

Size
Finished width and height, plus any relevant dimensional tolerance.
Shape
Square, rectangle, rounded-corner format or a dimensioned custom silhouette.
Edge
Straight, pinked zigzag or scalloped appearance, subject to material review.
Approval
Final feasibility, MOQ, lead time and sampling are confirmed for the requested combination.

1. Straight edge with square corners

This direction uses straight sides and 90-degree corners. It provides a simple geometric outline and makes finished width and height easy to communicate. Specify whether the cloth is square or rectangular, the exact finished dimensions and the permitted variation. The selected microfiber construction and cutting method still need production review.

2. Pinked zigzag edge

A pinked edge has a repeated small zigzag profile around the cloth. It is a familiar visual treatment on many polishing and lens-cleaning cloths. The buyer should confirm tooth size, corner appearance, finished dimensions and logo clearance. Do not approve the artwork only from a large screen preview: the logo must remain clear at its real production size and safely inside the cut edge.

3. Scalloped edge

A scalloped edge uses a sequence of smooth rounded curves. It creates a more decorative outline than a straight or zigzag profile. Curve size, corner transitions and dimensional references should be shown on the approved specification. Availability depends on the selected cloth, dimensions and production arrangement, so MOQ and timing are confirmed after review.

4. Rounded corners

Rounded corners normally keep the sides straight while replacing sharp square corners with a consistent radius. State the finished width and height as well as the desired corner radius or provide a clear reference drawing. Rounded corners may be paired with an appropriate edge profile only after the complete cloth construction is reviewed.

5. Custom shape

A custom silhouette can support a distinctive promotional, retail or care-kit presentation. Send a vector outline or dimensioned drawing showing the full perimeter, finished size and orientation. Qula Craft will review narrow points, internal curves, material use, logo area, packaging fit and production feasibility before confirming the MOQ, sample plan and lead time.

How edge selection differs by application

For a silver or jewelry polishing cloth, confirm the intended surface, cloth construction or treatment, open and folded dimensions, edge, logo and package as one specification. A booklet-style or multi-layer cloth may have different edge constraints from a single flat cloth.

For an eyeglass or screen cloth, confirm the microfiber, intended lens or display, finished dimensions, edge, print coverage and package. Edge appearance does not prove compatibility with every coating or screen. Request a representative sample when surface compatibility, print feel or package fit is important.

Logo and packaging checks

  • Show the logo at its finished size and state its distance from the nearest cut edge.
  • Confirm whether the cloth will be folded and which panel must remain visible.
  • Check that a rounded or custom silhouette fits the intended envelope, pouch, case or paper box.
  • Approve orientation so the logo and custom shape are presented correctly after packing.
  • Record the approved material, color, dimensions, edge, logo and packaging in one order specification.

What to include in an edge and shape inquiry

  1. Polishing cloth or eyeglass/screen cleaning cloth.
  2. Intended surface or application.
  3. Finished width and height.
  4. Square, rectangle, rounded corners or a custom-shape drawing.
  5. Straight, pinked zigzag or scalloped edge preference.
  6. Cloth material or weight if already specified.
  7. Logo file, finished logo size and placement.
  8. Packaging format, estimated quantity and destination.

Qula Craft uses these details to review feasibility and confirm the applicable MOQ, sampling arrangement, production lead time and quotation. Send an edge and shape specification for review.

Frequently asked questions

Which microfiber cloth edge has the lowest MOQ?

There is no single published MOQ for every edge. MOQ depends on the edge, cloth material, finished dimensions, color, logo, packaging and order requirements. Qula Craft confirms it after reviewing the specification.

Does every edge have the same production lead time?

No. Lead time varies with the requested edge or shape, material, dimensions, artwork, sampling and order quantity. The applicable timing is confirmed with the quotation.

Can a cloth have rounded corners and a custom logo?

Yes, subject to specification review. The artwork proof should show the finished logo size, position and safe distance from the rounded perimeter.

Can Qula Craft make a custom cloth shape?

Custom shapes can be reviewed from a vector outline or dimensioned drawing. Feasibility, MOQ, sampling and lead time are confirmed after the perimeter, material, size, logo and packaging are evaluated.

Are the same edges available for polishing cloths and lens cloths?

Not automatically. Availability depends on the selected cloth construction, treatment, weight, dimensions and production requirements. Each polishing-cloth and lens-cloth specification is reviewed separately.
