Start with the optical use case

Use actual dimensions rather than labels such as small, standard or large. Test the folded cloth inside the eyeglass case or retail package. A cloth that fits when flat may become too bulky after folding, while a small cloth may not provide the presentation area required for the logo.
Select a logo method for distribution, not only for the mockup
Decide whether the cloth is primarily a care accessory, a promotional giveaway or a retail product. This affects logo scale, artwork detail and packaging. Send a vector file and identify the required brand colors. Ask for a production-feasible review of fine text, lines and gradients.
Approve the logo at its actual finished size and on the selected cloth color. A screen proof helps with layout; a physical sample is required to assess the real fabric, print appearance, folded visibility and package fit. Do not assume the same method or price applies to every cloth color or artwork.
Plan packaging by channel
- Optical shops: define counter-pack quantities, SKU labels and whether each cloth is individually protected.
- Eyewear brands: coordinate the cloth with the case, warranty card and unboxing sequence.
- Wholesale distributors: record inner and master-carton quantities so customers can reorder consistently.

If packaging carries cleaning instructions, confirm them for the exact cloth and intended lens application. Keep any language variants linked to one approved master text. A Spanish or Portuguese package for South America should be buyer-reviewed for the destination market; Europe may require several language versions, while Australian and North American retailers can have their own barcode and labeling workflows.
Design for replenishment and stock control
An optical distributor benefits from a stable base specification that can be reordered. Assign a buyer SKU to each cloth, logo and package combination. Record carton quantity, package dimensions, barcode ownership, approved artwork, sample reference and revision date. If a reseller can choose multiple logo versions, quote the minimum and lead time per version.
Ask the supplier to flag material, treatment, process or packaging changes before production. A reorder should reference the approved specification and sample, not rely on "same as last time." This is especially important when several purchasing teams or regional offices use the same supplier.
